Church Marketing Agency | Leveret Drive
Home Marketing for Churches

Twenty years on church staff.
Now in your corner.

Our founder spent two decades as a creative director at large non-denominational churches, ten years at 2|42 Community Church, and ten more serving churches across Michigan and California. He's built the Easter push, branded the sermon series, and sat in the Monday meeting after a hard Sunday. That experience is now an outside team your church can hire: marketing, coaching, support, and training, at discounted church rates.

Meet Jon

Twenty years in ministry.
Then he built an agency for it.

Jon Usborne didn't study church communications from the outside - he spent twenty years living it. A decade on staff at 2|42 Community Church, one of Michigan's largest and fastest growing churches, and a decade before that serving churches across Michigan and California as a creative director. Sermon series and Easter pushes, capital campaigns and weekend production, volunteer creative teams and weekly meetings.

He also knows what those years felt like: carrying a weekly deadline that never stops, never with quite enough hands. Leveret Drive is what he built afterward - an agency shaped around that experience, so church teams can get the kind of help Jon wishes he'd had: someone who already speaks the language, respects the budget, and shows up like staff.

Redeemer's Fellowship.
A capital campaign, end to end.

Redeemer's Fellowship, Extend the Table capital campaign: brand guide, pastor letter, commitment card, and vision book spreads
Campaign Brand & Print · Roseburg, OR

"Extend the Table"

Redeemer's had outgrown its room, packed services, split families, people walking out early. Their answer was a $4.25M generosity campaign to build a 900-seat auditorium; ours was the communications system to carry it: a campaign identity built on an open table, a vision book that tells forty years of history, and every printed piece a family touches between kickoff and Commitment Sunday.

The result: the congregation committed beyond the campaign goal. Redeemer's didn't just reach the number, they passed it.

Beyond deliverables

Sometimes your team doesn't need an agency.
It needs a coach.

Twenty years of doing this job means we can also teach it. If your church has willing hands but no one who's carried the communications role before, these engagements are often the highest-leverage money you can spend.

Coaching

For the person who owns it.

A standing call with your communications director or creative lead, someone who's held the role for two decades helping them plan series, manage the calendar, and navigate staff dynamics. The mentor most church communicators never get.

Support

Extra hands for big seasons.

Christmas, Easter, a capital campaign, a staff transition. We plug into your team as overflow capacity, design, video, web, whatever the season demands, then step back out when the push is over.

Training

For staff and volunteers.

Workshops that turn willing volunteers into a working creative team, writing announcements people hear, designing within a system, running social without burning out. Built from what actually worked across twenty years of weekends.

Church pricing

We discount our rates for
churches and nonprofits.

Twenty years of watching offering dollars get spent taught us to price this carefully. A church plant meeting in a school and a multi-site congregation shouldn't be quoted from the same sheet, so we don't publish a percentage and pretend it's fair to both. Tell us your budget honestly, and we'll tell you honestly what it can buy, fixed-price projects, flat monthly engagements, no hourly meters.

Questions we actually get

Straight answers for church leaders.

Do you only work with non-denominational churches?

No. The background is non-denominational, but the work, being findable, communicating clearly, welcoming people before they ever visit, is the same across traditions. We serve churches of any denomination and size.

What does this cost for a church?

We discount our standard rates for churches and nonprofits. The number itself is a conversation, because a church plant and a multi-site congregation shouldn't be quoted from the same sheet. Tell us your budget honestly and we'll tell you honestly what it can buy.

Can we get coaching without a full engagement?

Yes. Coaching, support, and training stand on their own, a regular call with your communications lead, a training day for staff and volunteers, or an honest outside review of your weekend communications. Many churches start there.

Is it biblical for a church to do marketing?

We understand the hesitation, nobody wants their church to feel like a brand campaign. But marketing, done honestly, is hospitality: making sure the people already looking for a church can find yours, and know what to expect before they walk in. The Great Commission is a mandate to go and tell. Speaking clearly is not less faithful than mumbling.

How much should a church budget for marketing?

A common benchmark is 3–5% of your total budget toward outreach and communications, with church plants and relaunches spending more for a season. But consistency matters more than the number, a modest budget spent steadily outperforms a big Easter push followed by silence. We'll help you set a figure that fits your size and season.

How do people actually find a church now?

They search. The great majority of first-time guests research a church online before they ever visit, usually a "church near me" search, then your Google Business Profile, then your website, then your social feed to see if you're real. That chain is your new front door, and every link in it either welcomes people or quietly turns them away.

What matters most on a church website?

The first-time guest. Service times, address and parking, what to expect, dress, kids, how long the service runs, and a clear plan-a-visit path, above everything else. Most church websites are built for the people already attending. The ones that grow are built for the family deciding, on a Thursday night, whether to walk in on Sunday.

What is the Google Ad Grant, and does our church qualify?

Google gives eligible nonprofits, including most churches with 501(c)(3) status, up to $10,000 per month in free search advertising. Most churches either don't know it exists or have a grant account sitting idle and misconfigured. We handle eligibility, setup, and the ongoing compliance that keeps the grant active.

How long until we see results?

Some things move fast, a corrected Google Business Profile and a clearer website can change your guest flow within weeks. Search rankings take three to six months to build. And people rarely visit after one impression; expect a dozen quiet touchpoints before a family shows up on a Sunday. We set expectations by channel and report plainly.

Which social platforms should our church be on?

Fewer than you think. One platform done consistently beats four done sporadically. For most congregations that means Facebook for your existing community and Instagram or short-form video for the people you're trying to reach. We build a rhythm your staff and volunteers can actually sustain.

Do you serve nonprofits too?

Yes, nonprofit work is its own practice for us, with the same discounted rates. Start at our marketing for nonprofits page.
