Search work that earns you an asset, not a bill.

Monthly technical, local and content work on a site built to hold it, reported against five numbers and a hand-checked list of the questions your buyers actually ask.

On a weak site, monthly search work is rent. On a sound one, it is the only marketing spend that keeps paying after you stop.

Where we start

We check the site before we sell you the retainer.

Search work behaves completely differently depending on what it is done to. Put it on a slow site with unreadable markup and no schema, and every month you pay to hold a position you lose again the moment you stop. That is rent. Put the same work on a site that is fast, structured and readable, and each month adds something that stays: pages that keep ranking, questions you now own, citations that keep agreeing with each other.

So we look first, and we tell you which one you are buying. Sometimes the honest answer is that a rebuild first costs less over a year than twelve months of fighting the platform. We would rather say that up front than take the retainer and blame the website later.

The work

Five things, done every month.

Not a checklist of forty micro-tasks. These five are what move qualified conversations, and the same groundwork is what makes a site quotable inside an AI answer.

Technical foundation
Crawlability, indexation, sitemap and robots, redirects, Core Web Vitals, mobile behaviour, and schema written by hand for your services rather than generated by a plugin. Checked monthly, because a site changes and so do the rules.
Question-shaped content
We keep a running list of what your buyers ask, from sales calls, search data and the chatbot if you have one. The ones worth owning get a page written to answer them directly, with the answer in the first two sentences.
Local presence
Google Business Profile kept accurate and active, citations consistent across directories, reviews requested and answered, and a real page for each market you serve. Details below.
Authority and corroboration
Getting other credible sources to agree with what your site says: partners, suppliers, associations, local press, the platforms your industry actually uses. No link schemes, no directories nobody reads.
Reporting you can act on
Five numbers, one page, once a month, with a note on what we did and what we intend to do next. If a number moved for a reason we cannot explain, we say so rather than dressing it up.
Local SEO

A real page per market, not a template with the town swapped in.

Search engines and assistants both discount pages that are obviously duplicated. A local page earns its keep when it names the market honestly: who we work with there, what the work looked like, how far we travel. We do this for our own business across twenty-two Michigan towns, which is how we know what it costs and what it returns.

What local work covers

  • Google Business Profile: categories, services, service area, hours, photos, posts
  • Citations and directories brought into agreement with the site
  • Reviews: a system for asking, and replies that read like a person wrote them
  • Local landing pages with market-specific content and local business schema
  • Local pack position tracking for the towns that matter to you

Monthly programs

Three levels. Published prices.

Every level keeps the site alive and its SEO configuration current. What changes is how much new work happens each month. Most clients belong in the middle one.

The floor

Care

Hosting, SSL, backups, updates, security, uptime and speed monitoring, thirty minutes of edits. Search Console and Analytics, sitemap and robots, indexation checks, schema validation, titles and meta, Google Business Profile kept accurate. Quarterly technical and answer-engine readability check.

No new pages

Required on every site we build. Holds ground rather than taking it.

What we report

Five numbers. One page. Every month.

Impressions and bounce rate are not results. These are the five we hold ourselves to, and the fifth is the one almost nobody else measures.

Qualified conversations
Calls and forms from people who could actually buy. Counted by hand where it needs to be, because a form fill from a vendor is not a lead.
Non-branded visibility
Clicks and positions for searches that are not your company name. Branded traffic tells you your existing customers can find you, which is not the same as growth.
Local pack position
Where you sit in the map results for the towns you serve, tracked per market rather than averaged into one meaningless figure.
Pages earning their keep
Which pages bring people in and which do nothing. The second list decides what we write, rewrite or retire next month.
Answer mentions
About twenty buyer questions, checked by hand across the major assistants: named or not named, who was named instead, and what changed since last month. How that works.
Common questions

What people ask before they sign.

How long does SEO take to work?

First real movement in sixty to ninety days on technical and local work. Six to nine months for content to earn positions in a competitive market. Anyone promising results in thirty days is either in a market with no competition or not telling you the truth.

Is SEO still worth it now that AI answers questions?

Yes, because the groundwork is shared. Crawlability, structure, schema, speed, consistent citations and genuinely useful content are what earn a position and what make a page quotable inside an answer. What changes is the measurement: rankings alone no longer tell you whether you are being recommended.

Do you require a contract?

Twelve months on Care, because a site left unmaintained drifts and our name is on it. Growth and Partner run month to month after an initial ninety days, which is the minimum honest window for this work to show anything.

Can you do this on our existing site?

Often yes. If the site is structurally sound we work on top of it. If it was assembled in a page builder with unreadable markup, no schema and slow pages, monthly work becomes rent, and a rebuild costs less over a year. We tell you which case you are in before you commit.

Who does the work?

We do. Content is written here, schema is written by hand, and the answer check is run by a person reading what came back. Nothing is passed to a reseller, and nothing in the report is generated by a tool we do not read ourselves.

Do you work with businesses outside Michigan?

Yes. We are in Brighton, Michigan and work nationally. Local work is set up for whichever markets you serve, whether that is three towns or thirty states.
